A tradition stretching back to 1960…
Anneliese and Alois Reubel laid the foundation stone back in 1960 . The later hotel originated in the “Zur Eule” dance hall, a well-known meeting place for young people.
The construction of nine guesthouse rooms in 1963 , as well as two bowling alleys, made the facilities more versatile.
“Gasthof Rangau” was established in 1971. In addition to the new name, a function room emerged due to an annex, as well as adjoining rooms for private parties. The basement rooms were also extended to accommodate four more bowling alleys.
The next generation made its debutin 1981. Trained chef Paul Reubel and his wife Helga Reubel, a trained hotel specialist, took over the guesthouse and put their ideas into practice.
Following diverse smaller renovations, Paul and Helga Reubel took the plunge in 1988 and converted the hotel into the now well-known "Hotel Rangau".
The addition of another six apartments to the guesthouse in 1993 was followed by more minor renovations, such as the reorganisation of the restaurant.
